High Pressure Switch In BD – CleanTech Engineering
🔧 High Pressure Switch In BD (HPS) – Description
A High Pressure Switch is an essential safety and automation component in Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification systems. It monitors the Pressure in the RO system’s output line (typically the line to the storage tank) and automatically shuts off the booster pump when the tank is full or when the pressure exceeds a set limit. This helps to conserve energy, protect the system from damage, and prolong the pump’s life.
📋 Key Features
- Functionality:
Automatically stops the booster pump when the pressure in the storage tank reaches a predetermined level (typically between 30–60 PSI), preventing over-pressurization. - Voltage Compatibility:
Operates with DC 24V or sometimes DC 12V, depending on model. - Build Material:
Usually made of durable ABS plastic or polypropylene, resistant to water and pressure. - Connector Type:
Equipped with 1/4″ push-fit or threaded connectors for easy integration into RO pipelines. - Installation Point:
Installed on the outlet line of the RO membrane, just before the storage tank. - Application:
Used in domestic, commercial, and industrial RO water filtration systems
🛠️ Installation Tip
- Connect the high pressure switch in series with the RO booster pump’s power line.
- Make sure the orientation matches the water flow direction.
- Use Teflon tape to prevent leakage at threaded joints (if applicable).
